MailerLite alternatives for Shopify and WooCommerce stores
Updated 14 October 2026
MailerLite got the most important thing right: email tools should be simple. The MailerLite alternative a store needs is that same simplicity plus the commerce bits you otherwise work around - cart recovery, inventory triggers, revenue per email. Below: three ecommerce-focused alternatives side by side, what each one counts and caps, and how to move your list if you decide to.
If you just send newsletters, stay.
For a pure newsletter list, MailerLite is good and often cheaper at smaller list sizes - switching would gain you little, and we would rather say that than waste your afternoon. The switch makes sense when your list belongs to a store: then the difference is not the editor, it is what triggers the emails. Orders, checkouts, product views and inventory changes are first-class events here, not integrations you assemble. Migration is CSV-based; automations and templates are rebuilt, not imported.
MailerLite alternatives compared
MailerLite is a good fit for newsletters and creators. Stores usually compare it with ecommerce-focused tools; here are three. The table sticks to what each vendor publishes on its own pricing page: the free plan, how the paid plans are priced, how much you can send, and the one thing a store should know before signing up.
| Tool | Free plan | Paid pricing model | Sending | Note for stores |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MailerLite | 250 subscribers, 2,500 emails a month | Comfort from $12 a month, Power from $25 a month, priced by active subscribers and sending volume | Comfort: 10x the top of your subscriber tier per month. Power: unlimited, fair use | Active subscribers are counted cumulatively within the billing cycle; exceeding the limit on a paid plan moves you up a tier automatically. EU data storage. Shopify and WooCommerce integrations. 14-day premium trial, no card. |
| Omnisend | 250 contacts, 500 emails a month | Standard and Pro, priced by list size, billed in USD | Standard: 12x list size per month. Pro: unlimited, fair use | Ecommerce, SMS and web push. Billing includes non-subscribers who received automated messages; unsubscribed contacts are not billed. See switching from Omnisend. |
| Brevo | Up to 300 emails a day | Starter, Standard, Professional and Enterprise, priced by email volume; Starter from 5,000 emails a month | Set by the email volume you buy | No credit card to sign up. Priced by volume, so list size does not drive the bill. See switching from Brevo. |
| MailingPlatform | Up to 100 active subscribers, every feature, no time limit | Flat price by active subscribers: €39 a month up to 3,000, €129 up to 25,000, €299 up to 100,000, €499 unlimited, excl. VAT. All features on every plan | Unlimited platform sends. Delivery runs through your own Amazon SES account, which AWS bills separately | Native Shopify and WooCommerce apps. 14-day trial, no credit card. |
Prices and limits read from each vendor's pricing page on 14 October 2026: mailerlite.com/pricing, omnisend.com/pricing, brevo.com/pricing and mailingplatform.net/pricing. MailerLite and Omnisend publish in US dollars. Vendors change tiers without notice, so check the pages before you commit.
How to read the table. Three of the four tools price by the size of your audience, but they count it differently. MailerLite counts active subscribers cumulatively within the billing cycle, so a subscriber who joins and leaves in the same month still counts for that month. Omnisend counts subscribers plus any non-subscriber who received an automated message, which matters for stores because checkout and order emails reach people who never signed up for the newsletter. Brevo ignores list size and prices by the emails you send. MailingPlatform counts only active, emailable subscribers; unsubscribed and bounced contacts never count. Sending works the same way: MailerLite Comfort and Omnisend Standard cap sends at a multiple of your list, their top plans are unlimited under fair use, Brevo sells volume outright, and here platform sends are unlimited on every plan with delivery through your own Amazon SES account.
The short version: pick MailerLite if you mostly send newsletters and want the simplest tool for that. Pick an ecommerce tool if cart recovery, store data and revenue per email matter to you, then decide between per-contact and flat pricing at your real list size; see flat rate email marketing pricing for your list size, and Klaviyo vs Mailchimp pricing for the two platforms stores leave most.
Prices converge. Products don't.
At 25,000 subscribers, MailerLite Comfort is around €179/month with sends capped at 10 times your subscriber tier, and Power around €239 for unlimited sends - against €129 flat here with unlimited sends included. At smaller list sizes the gap narrows or reverses, so the honest pitch is not the price. It is that at any price, MailerLite is a newsletter tool and this is a store tool.
The flat rate works like this: Starter is €39 a month for up to 3,000 active subscribers, Professional €129 for up to 25,000, Scale €299 for up to 100,000 and Unlimited €499, all excl. VAT, and every plan has every feature. Without a subscription you can keep using the platform with up to 100 active subscribers, every feature included, no time limit. Delivery runs through your own Amazon SES account, so AWS bills the volume at its list rate while platform sends stay unlimited.
- Unlimited sends on every plan - no 10x send ceiling to track
- Every feature on every plan, including all automations
- EU-hosted with GDPR export, erasure and double opt-in built in
- Native store apps: see Shopify email marketing and WooCommerce email marketing
How to switch from MailerLite
Five steps, usually an afternoon. Subscribers, groups, fields and unsubscribe status come across in one CSV; automations and templates are rebuilt from the ready-made flows rather than imported. Keep MailerLite running until your flows are live here, then pause them there so nobody gets two emails, and cancel once nothing sends from it. Start the first sends with your most engaged segment and widen over a couple of weeks so the new sending domain warms up properly.
Export
In MailerLite, export your subscribers to CSV from the subscribers page. Fields, groups and subscription status come along.
Import
Our streaming importer handles 100,000+ row files. Fields map to custom fields, groups become tags, unsubscribed contacts stay unsubscribed.
Authenticate
Verify your sending domain with guided DNS setup - SPF, DKIM and DMARC checked live. Usually done in under an hour.
Connect the store
Connect Shopify or install the WooCommerce plugin. The store integration is the core of this product: orders, checkouts, products and inventory arrive over webhooks.
Turn on the flows
Abandoned cart, welcome, back in stock, post purchase and browse triggers ship ready-made, wired to live store data. The abandoned cart emails guide covers timing, copy and the discount question.
Fair questions about leaving.
At smaller list sizes, often yes - and if you only send newsletters, we say plainly that you should stay. At 25,000 subscribers the comparison flips: €129/month here with unlimited sends, against roughly €179 (Comfort, send-capped) or €239 (Power) on MailerLite’s public 2026 pricing.
Native Shopify and WooCommerce integrations with orders, checkouts, product views and inventory over webhooks; ready-made cart recovery, back in stock and browse abandonment flows; unique per-recipient discount codes; and revenue attribution per email.
Yes. The CSV import maps MailerLite fields to custom fields and groups to tags, and unsubscribed contacts stay unsubscribed. Automations and templates are rebuilt - the ready-made flows and the AI builder make that an afternoon.
That is the design goal: one pricing axis, every feature on every plan, ready-made automations you adjust instead of build, and an AI builder that produces branded, editable emails from a description. Simplicity is the shared value; the store integrations are the difference.
Stores usually compare MailerLite with ecommerce-focused tools such as Omnisend, Brevo and MailingPlatform. The right choice depends on list size, how much you send and whether you want per-contact or flat pricing.
MailingPlatform has unlimited platform sends on every plan, from €39/month excl. VAT up to 3,000 active subscribers; delivery runs through your own Amazon SES account, billed by AWS. MailerLite's Power plan and Omnisend's Pro plan also offer unlimited emails under a fair use policy.
Yes. MailingPlatform is free up to 100 active subscribers with every feature, Omnisend has a free plan for 250 contacts and 500 emails a month, and Brevo's free plan allows up to 300 emails a day.
Yes. Export your subscribers to CSV from the MailerLite subscribers page; fields, groups and subscription status come along. The import maps fields to custom fields and groups to tags, and unsubscribed contacts stay unsubscribed. The switch guide above walks through each step.
